Dr. David Foreman has delivered expert ENT care in Lafayette since 1990, being one of the busiest in Louisiana. A Tulane graduate, he earned his MD degree and completed his ENT/Head and Neck Surgery residency at LSU New Orleans. Known for his compassion, integrity, thorough diagnostic ability and expert surgical skills, Dr Foreman offers full spectrum ENT services. His attention is now on airway preservation and its impact on sleep. He was the first to perform the Inspire procedure in a 5 state region, including Texas. He has been named by Inspire as a Physician of Excellence with sleep apnea curative results being in the top 1% in the US.

Dr. David Foreman Biography

With 3 1/2 decades of experience, Dr David Foreman is a respected otolaryngologist proudly serving a wide are of Southwest Louisiana, based in Lafayette. A proud graduate of Lafayette High School, he receive his undergraduate degree in Biology with honors from Tulane University and completed both his medical degree and residency in Otolaryology/Head and Neck Surgery at LSU-New Orleans and Charity Hospital. During college, he served as president of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was employed at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans as an operating room technician in both college and medical school.

Arriving back to Lafayette in 1990, he began his ENT practice. During that time, parenting his daughter, Jessica, and sons, Jonathan and Patrick, were of utmost importance; coaching the boys in baseball, basketball and soccer for nearly 12 years consumed his free time. Bird hunting and fishing with friends and the boys served as other recreation. Jessica brought him the spectator sport for voice, dancing and acting.

Recognized for his warm, approachable, pragmatic manner and unwavering dedication to solving patients’ issues, Dr. Foreman provides comprehensive treatment for the full range of ear, nose, and throat conditions. His practice emphasizes evidence-based solutions, personal integrity and compassionate service to others.

A national leader in sleep medicine, Dr. Foreman was the first surgeon for the hypoglossal nerve stimulator Inspire in a region including Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Mississippi. He provides expert airway diagnosis and all surgical corrections of the obstructed airway. He is on his way to his 400th Inspire implant, which places him in the top 2% of the nation. His obstructive sleep apnea curative rate with Inspire is greater than 97%, which places him in the top 1% nationally.

He looks forward to many more years of making the world a better place- unless insurance companies and governmental bureaucracy worsen.

Dr. David Foreman’s medical training began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tulane University, followed by his Doctor of Medicine from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He went on to complete both a surgical residency and specialized residency in Otorhinolaryngology at LSU Medical Center, building a strong foundation for his expertise in ENT care.
